Bianchi Bella's
This project was a fun assignment where my graphic design classmates and I were tasked with creating branding for an olive company called Bianchi Bella’s. The fictional company focuses on producing high-quality, hand-picked olives straight from Italy, so our job was to design a logo and packaging that felt premium and authentic.
For Bianchi Bella’s, I tried a number of Italian symbols, and wordmarks paired with imagery or on their own. I ended up pairing two typefaces for Bianchi Bella's, and rounded out the shape with a simple drawing of an olive with a watercolour fill. The packaging uses rich greens and golds to make it feel upscale and natural—something you’d want to proudly display on your kitchen counter.
We also had to design for their lower-end line called Baby Bella’s. For that, I kept the connection to the main brand but made it more playful and approachable. I took three olives in a scattered arrangement, designated those as the baby bellas, and made a thicker and less elegant logo suitable for playful and recyclable packaging. The colors are brighter, and the type has a friendlier feel to match the more casual, budget-conscious audience.
Overall, it was a great exercise in creating a brand family that feels unified but still speaks to different markets.
