Skillit App
This was a group project from my graphic design class where we were tasked with coming up with an app concept and designing the UX and UI as a team. We created Skillit—an app that lets users browse recipes and cooking videos from chefs, and includes a smart pantry feature. With Skillit, you can scan barcodes from items in your fridge or pantry, store them virtually, and get recipe suggestions based on what you already have on hand. It’s designed to make cooking easier, smarter, and a little more fun.
I actually came up with the name Skillit, which ended up shaping a lot of the app’s tone and vibe. While I wasn’t responsible for every part of what you see here, I played a major role in building out the website maps, user journeys, thumbnails, and the final prototype. I especially enjoyed working on how users would interact with the pantry and recipe suggestion features—making sure it all felt seamless and intuitive.
This was such a valuable project for learning how to work collaboratively while still owning and contributing meaningful parts of the design. Plus, it's always cool to see an idea evolve from sketchy whiteboard notes to a full-fledged interactive prototype.
