This project was part of a class assignment where we were asked to design a set of four stamps centred around Canadian culture. I decided to take a more unconventional (but very Canadian) route and focus on the cult classic Trailer Park Boys.

Set in a fictional trailer park in Nova Scotia, Trailer Park Boys follows the misadventures of three small-time criminals—Ricky, Julian, and Bubbles—and has become a beloved part of Canadian pop culture. It’s chaotic, it’s hilarious, and it’s full of heart... in a very greasy kind of way.

My goal was to capture the gritty charm and iconic personalities of the show while keeping the stamp format visually tight and collectible. Each stamp highlights one of the main characters and pulls in elements that fans of the show will instantly recognize—like Julian’s ever-present rum and coke, or Bubbles’ thick glasses and love for kitties.

This piece was a blast to work on, blending illustration and layout with a bit of satire and nostalgia. It’s definitely one of the more fun and weird projects in my portfolio, and I loved getting to showcase a piece of Canadian culture.
